Dr. Amor J. Royer is a compassionate and dedicated gastroenterologist who joined Skyline Gastroenterology in September 2024. His started his journey in medicine by earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oakwood University in 2012. Dr. Royer then pursued his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean, graduating in 2018.

Dr. Royer’s commitment to excellence in healthcare is evident through his extensive training. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2021, followed by a prestigious Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Louisville Hospital from 2021 to 2024. This comprehensive training has equipped him with expertise in diagnosing and managing both common and rare gastrointestinal disorders, as well as complex hepatology cases.

Throughout his career, Dr. Royer has demonstrated a passion for advancing medical knowledge. He has contributed to numerous published works in respected medical journals, covering topics ranging from idiopathic pancreatitis to the impact of mental health on inflammatory bowel disease patients. His research experience extends to his time as a Research Assistant in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the American University of the Caribbean.

Dr. Royer’s clinical skills are complemented by his proficiency in various endoscopic procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, variceal banding, and endoscopic mucosal resection. He is also adept at interpreting specialized GI tests such as manometry, capsule endoscopy, and impedance planimetry.

As an active member of professional societies including the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, Dr. Royer stays at the forefront of advancements in his field. His patient-centered approach and commitment to providing high-quality care make him a valuable addition to our team at Skyline Gastroenterology.
